Our stunning, 16th century converted wedding barn is the most perfect, romantic wedding venue in Essex.  Set in the rural retreat of the countryside around North Essex, our barn is also easily accessible from Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Kent and the Greater London areas.

Located in Sudbury, on the borders of Essex and Suffolk, Smeetham Hall has been the Hyde Parker family residence since 1906.  
 
The Barn has been beautifully converted into the most stunning of venues for civil ceremonies, same-sex marriages and wedding receptions. 

We have a wide range of local suppliers who can offer you their wedding services and have experience of our wedding venue to make the planning of your big day as easy as possible.
 
We also have a range of special offers available throughout the year to help keep your wedding on budget.  
 
You are welcome to supply your own alcohol/soft drinks at no extra charge for the day and we have a fully licensed bar for the evening which is local pub prices and there is no charge for the staff.
